Timothy DeVita graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in 2014 with an AB in American Studies. His senior thesis focused on the response of physicians to the social and biomedical challenges presented by the early AIDS epidemic in New York City. It was subsequently awarded the Mita prize for best thesis in American Studies. Tim just finished a year as a Fulbright grantee in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Following the completion of this program, Tim plans to matriculate at Georgetown University School of Medicine in August of 2016 to pursue a career in international health. Tim hopes to take what he learns from this program to improve health outcomes for LGBT patients as both a medical student and as a physician.
