The LGBT Health Workforce Conference featured presentations from a student and a faculty member of the LGBT Health Policy & Practice Program at GW.
Program Director Dr. Stephen Forssell was an invited guest speaker for a workshop called "LGBT Health Training Along the Pipeline: Innovations in College, Graduate, and Doctoral Studies." Dr. Forssell spoke about the conception of the LGBT Health Policy and Practice Program at GW. He presented alongside Dr. Jennifer Potter, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard University, and Dr. Kenneth Hillenburg, Clinical Professor at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Colin Davis, a member of the LGBT Health Policy & Practice Program Class of 2013, presented his Capstone work, which focused on the millennial LGBT experience as a healthcare consumer.
The LGBT Health Workforce Conference was held May 1 and 2 at Hunter College in New York City.
