John Cullen, '13, was honored on May 16 by the Empire State Pride Agenda as one of the 25 LGBT Community Champions in recognition for his Capstone project for our program. The Capstone successfully provided transition-related coverage to treat gender dysphoria in student and employee health benefit plans at the University of Rochester.
Cullen was presented with the award at the Empire State Pride Agenda Spring Dinner in Rochester, New Jersey. The celebration included many noteworthy names in the field, including Lea DeLaria from Netflix series Orange is the New Black. Former LGBT Health Policy & Practice Program student, Aiden Cropsey Class of 2014), was also in attendance.
