Thank you to all of those who attended our recent reception honoring LGBT Health Leaders & Celebrating Student Scholarships, last Tuesday, March 22 at Whitman-Walker Health. It was a fantastic evening, and we are so grateful to have hosted our event at Whitman-Walker's beautiful Sixth-Floor reception area.
Speakers included Graduate Dean Jeff Brand, who gave a warm introduction, as well as Phil Sharp, honorary co-chair and board member, Director/Founder Stephen Forssell, and Board Member Quin Shott, who issued a very personal challenge to everyone present and all of our supporters. She is donating in matching funds, up to $25,000 for every donation made this program year. Dr. Forssell's personal goal is to meet this challenge by April 15, our cut off date to support scholarships for students who are applying to attend the program this year.
