John P. Cullen
Citizen of Ireland and Permanent Resident of the United States, John is a Research Associate Professor at University of Rochester Medical Center and has recently accepted a position as Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Rochester’s Clinical Translational Science Institute. A widely published, recipient of awards & honors, he has trained over 30 Post-Doctoral students and fellows. He has considerable experience in LGBT employment policy and healthcare. His efforts include a Patient Bill of Rights to include gender identity & expression and visitation policy granting equal visitation to LGBT patients and their visitors. He hopes to move from basic science research to applied patient care; he is increasingly interested in disparities in transgender healthcare.
