Carly A. Scarton

Carly is passionate about health needs for marginalized populations. Her research concentrates on school-wide efforts to create safe, welcoming environments for lesbian, gay and bisexual youth and the aspects of children being raised in new family forms, including same-sex partners. Her focus: how individuals develop new understandings of how to live in the world; how these understandings are consolidated into new identities; how these are influenced by ecological systems.

Carly wrote a children’s book, unique in its presentation and subject matter, that centers on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues. Click here for more info.
